Berlin CDIW International 2010 International Level Show
IN-HAND CLASSES I. The In-Hand classes are fairly self-explanatory. There is no restriction on how many in-hand classes a horse may enter per show - as many as they qualify for. II. To be eligible for the Broodmares In-Hand Class a mare must have produced at least one foal in her lifetime. This may be either by natural means or through embryo transfer - this way mares may still be competitive in Dressage classes while producing foals. III. To be eligible for the Stud Stallions In-Hand Class a stallion must have sired at least one foal in his lifetime. He may still be actively competing in under saddle classes at any level, the only stipulation is that he has sired a foal.

AND UNDER SADDLE CLASSES Rules & Guidelines: I. As of 16th August 2010 the Under Saddle section is now separate from the Lower Level Dressage Section. II. Horses may enter only two Under Saddle classes per show. Dressage tests (both lower level & FEI) are not counted towards this total as they are in a different section. III. Materiale Classes are under saddle and thus DO count towards the Under Saddle Total. IV. Materiale Classes are generally for young horses who are either not competing in actual dressage yet or have just begun (are competing Intro/Training/First). V. Under Saddle classes are both for young horses not yet fully fledged in their Dressage career and for older horses who have retired from mainstream competing but are still competitive under saddle - Stallions retired to stud, older mares in between foals, etc. When entering a show the age restrictions are stated along with each class name, so there won't be any confusion.

UNDER SADDLE CLASSES Rules & Guidelines: I.

LOWER LEVEL DRESSAGE CLASSES Rules & Guidelines: I. You may enter each horse in two consecutive classes. An example of this would be Training Level II & First Level I. Not Training Level II & Third Level I. (Added 16th August 2010) II. You may enter each horse in a total of three lower level classes (their two consecutive tests and the lower level freestyle). III. Age restrictions on Lower Level Dressage Classes are displayed beside the class name.

FEI LEVEL DRESSAGE CLASSES I. Horses may only be entered in one FEI level, as well as its' specific freestyle. II. Grand Prix & Grand Prix Special horses may enter the Grand Prix Kur - this is their equivalent to a freestyle. III. If a horse is new to the ASDF, but is old enough and 'well-trained' enough to be competing at FEI Levels they must still accumulate 10 Fourth Level II wins in order to move up into Prix St. Georges. DRESSAGE BREED CLASSES I. The Breed Shows are held chiefly for those breeds that excel at Dressage. If there is particular demand for other breed classes to be included then they may be at a later date. If there is a breed you would like to see included, feel free to send me a message and I’ll see about adding it. II. Any breeds that fail to garner sufficient entries will be dropped from the list. III. Obviously only one class per horse. IV. There are no age restrictions on these classes. Basically, they are divided into male and female categories.
